Did you know that Louane was born under the name Anne Peichert? The star is actually not called Louane! So where does his stage name come from? The “Give me your heart” singer revealed in an interview for the recent edition of Marie Claire magazine that she chose her artist name just a few hours before she entered the set of “The Voice” in 2013.

At this precise moment, the young 16-year-old singer only thinks of one person: her little sister Louise. She then decides to combine her real first name “Anne” with that of “Louise”.

“I had five minutes to come up with my stage name. It was her that I thought of. First of all.», Reveals Louane.

How did the little sister react to the announcement of this stage name? Louise would have it “very bad experience”. A reaction that Louane completely understands: “It’s normal: I took a piece of his identity without his authorization.” she confides to Marie Claire.
