LOREENA MCKENNITT two concerts in Italy in Brescia and Padua (Info and Tickets)

Music news

Loreena McKennitt will be in Europe in the coming months with a new highly anticipated tour, which will also touch Italy in just two dates: 20 March 2024 at the Gran Teatro Morato in Brescia and 21 March 2024 at the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua!

The last time I performed in Europe was 2019 and a lot has happened since then. It will be wonderful to return next spring and be able to meet again the familiar faces I have missed during this turbulent time,” says McKennitt.

Loreena McKennitt has managed to transplant her Celtic roots into evocative compositions, which are based on her courtly soprano voice and ethereal arrangements, in which traditional instruments such as violins, bodhran, tabla and harp stand out. All enriched by texts that mix metaphysical poetics, ancient popular myths and medieval mysticism: listening to her live is an unforgettable experience!
The Visit Revisited Tour celebrates the release anniversary of 1992’s “The Visit,” which is the Canadian singer-songwriter’s most successful album and gained her international popularity. To do so, she will be accompanied by four of her historical collaborators: Caroline Lavelle on cello, Brian Hughes on guitar, Hugh Marsh on violin and Dudley Phillips on bass.

THE CONCERT

The concert will consist of two sets: the first will be dedicated to the most famous songs of the singer-songwriter’s career, while the second will be entirely dedicated to the songs that make up the album.

Loreena McKennitt’s eclectic mix of Celtic-inspired pop, folk and world music has sold over 14 million albums worldwide.
His works have achieved gold and platinum certifications in 15 countries on four continents. The singer-songwriter has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award and has won two Juno Awards and a Billboard International Achievement Award.
The artist has performed in some of the most spectacular and prestigious venues in the world, from Carnegie Hall to the Alhambra Palace in Granada, and in front of personalities such as Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III and many other heads of state.
