At the end of the night, Linkin Park guitarist Mike Shinoda addressed the audience and alluded to the controversies that followed the band's reunion.
Linkin Park kicked off their reunion tour Wednesday night at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif., with a set that featured oldies like ” In The End »“ Number ” And ” What I've Done » to lesser-known pieces like « My December ” And ” Given Up “, as well as “ The Emptiness Machine “, taken from their next album, From Zero.
Although they played to an invited audience on September 5 in Burbank, California, it was Wednesday that new singer Emily Armstrong, new drummer Colin Brittain and new touring guitarist Alex Feder made their public debut. It was also the first time they had played a real concert since Chester Bennington's death. Toward the end of the night, co-founder Mike Shinoda addressed the audience.

” We are delighted to be back herehe said. It's not about erasing the past. It's about starting this new chapter into the future and coming here for each and every one of you. We loved writing this music. We're very excited about this new album. So, thank you very much. We had an incredible night with you. »
The concert was a success, but the reunion was not without controversy. Armstrong has drawn criticism from fans for his long history in the Church of Scientology, and his apparent support for fellow Scientologist Danny Masterson, who was tried for rape in 2021.
The tour From Zero will be shown in Germany, England, South Korea and Colombia.
