Les Enfoirés celebrated their 35th anniversary this Friday, March 1, on TF1 during an event concert. The troop, led by Michaël Youn in particular, took the opportunity to tackle the organization of this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris.
More than 8.5 million people followed the 35th anniversary concert of Les Enfoirés live on TF1, this Friday March 1st. From a packed Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux, the 47 artists (a record) present this year sang in favor of Restos du Cœur, the association which fights against poverty and social exclusion.
Les Enfoirés have, once again this year, used humor to give viewers the best evening. Perhaps one of the most notable moments was a cover of Michael Jackson’s hit “Heal The World” performed by Patrick Fiori and Michaël Youn. The two artists parodied the song in order to ironize the organization of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. An organization which is, in fact, controversial.
“This summer in Paris, hotels are overpriced. I rented my studio for 14,000 euros. You had to go into debt to buy just one small ticket. Plus 1,000 euros for taekwondo,” sang the duet.
A version which did not fail to amuse the Bordeaux public. A tackle that did not stop there because Santa also parodied the song “ The Seine » by Vanessa Paradis with mocking words : “ If you try, you try, to row in this, you will catch cholera “. A great classic by Daniel Balavoine has also been modified in order to tease the Olympic Games : “ Here is the SOS of an athlete in distress. I’m never going to get to the stadium, I’m stuck in traffic “.
A 2024 edition therefore placed under the sign of humor and derision in a difficult context for Restaurants. This year, the association created in 1985 by Coluche experienced a difficult period, and was even forced for the first time in its history to refuse people. The help of the Enfoirés is therefore more essential than ever, and the least we can say is that the troop responded well.
