The stated aim is to “show the richness and diversity of musical successes that adopted these aesthetics,” explains Alexandre Lasch, general director of SNEP, to the editorial staff. A new classification which fits into a perspective already put in place by the organization: “We had already set up classifications with classical and jazz. We therefore wanted to show more of the successes of rock and metal in France. »
By analyzing this week's top, we see in particular that the French scene occupies four places out of the top five, including No. 1, occupied by Babel Babel fromIndochina. “We are seeing a real appetite from the French public for artists from the local scene” comments Alexandre Lasch, before evoking a desire to “demonstrate the success of artists produced in France. »
The French public's appetite for these musical aesthetics is not only found in the sales rankings, as noted by the general director of the SNEP, noting that “Hellfest is the biggest festival in France. »
This ranking will also be present on other metal partner media, Rock Hard and Hard Force.
