Lady Gaga returns with surprise album “Harlequin” for her film “Joker: Folie à Deux”

With her always impressive voice, Lady Gaga covers classics of American music in a crazy version, inspired by the character of Harley Quinn in “Joker”. The artist also unveils two new tracks to discover without further delay.

The Mother Monster was more than inspired by her role as Harley Quinn in “Joker: Folie à Deux.” A character who motivated her to release an album to accompany the release of the feature film. The opus, entitled “Harlequin”, includes thirteen songs including numerous covers of American classics. Lady Gaga also unveils two new releases: “Folie à Deux” and “Happy Mistake”.

It's a companion album to the film, so it contains a lot of the music that's in 'Joker', as well as some original tracks that I wrote for the film.,” the singer told the Associated Press. “And a title exists only for the album, it's called ''Happy Mistake''.» added the superstar.

For the purposes of this album, Lady Gaga collaborated with her beloved Michael Polansky. They worked together on new arrangements for the covers of “Good Morning”, “Get Happy (2024)”, “On, When the Saints” and “If My Friends Could See Me Now”.

The feature film “Joker: Folie à Deux” can be seen in theaters on October 2.
