Kendji Girac at the “Star Academy”: what advice did he give to the students?

Music news

Kendji came to support the candidates of the 2023 class of the “Star Academy” this Wednesday, January 10. As an involved big brother, he guided the candidates on their way of singing during their evaluations.

Last Wednesday, the students of the “Star Academy” had to take on a major challenge for their assessments: performing a song by Kendji Girac. For the occasion, the main interested party came to visit the young artists and follow the performances of Pierre, Lénie and Héléna, then still in the running for immunity.

The interpreter of “Tiago” took the opportunity to give valuable advice to apprentice artists. He thus convinced Pierre to perform “She loved me”. A wise choice since the student performed live in front of the teachers. Kendji himself was impressed by this performance and even declared to Pierre: “My next concert is in 15 days, are you there? You can come with me if you want.» Fans now hope to see the birth of a collaboration between the two singers.

Kendji Girac: very frank with the students

Kendji Girac was also a great support during this day at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys. He did not hesitate to console Helena after her assessment. The young Belgian was not happy with her cover of “Les Yeux de la Mama” while for Eva Alba’s dad, she was “very well done“.

I would have liked you to like it.”, he added.

Finally, Kendji Girac played the role of vocal coach for the students of the class of 2023. During the evaluation rehearsals, the singer advised Lénie to perform “upper» the title “Les Yeux de la Mama”.

His advice was unfortunately ignored by Lénie. “I don’t think I’ll go up any further. Even if normally, I would have liked to climb more.”, she then admitted.

To which Kendji Girac then retorted: “It’s just for you, for you, that I say this. So that it’s a little more sung with more force, with a little more melody. You are also there to sing and since it’s almost the final, you have to try to give a little more… Me, that’s what I would have done.»

This lack of risk-taking therefore earned Lénie a nomination.
