Katy Perry investigated for filming without permission in a protected area in Ibiza

Music news

Lifetimes has been the most recent music video by Katy Perry. As we already told you in THE40the Californian soloist had chosen Ibiza to film the footage for this song inspired by her daughter. But the island authorities are investigating why the singer filmed in a protected area without permission. The recording could cost her dearly.

According to the agency EFEthe Department of Natural Environment of the Balearic Government has opened an investigation to verify the environmental impact that The dunes of the islet of S'Espalmador could have suffered after the artist and her entire team were there filming without authorization.

The area where Katy Perry is seen sitting on the sand is part of the Ses Salines Natural Park of Ibiza and Formentera and according to local authorities, this area is delimited by ropes, sticks and signs indicating that entry is prohibited.

The investigation will now have to determine whether there has been a crime against the environment and whether there will be any fines for the film crew or for the artist who did not have authorisation to be there and had not even requested it.

As we already told you, it is not the only violation that can be seen in the video clip since in one of its motorcycle rides seen in the video clip, the Californian goes without a helmet. Katy Perry also gets into house mode to become one of the attractions of those international clubs that know what it means to take parties to the extreme.

The singer spent a few days in Ibiza with Orlando Bloom. And they did not skimp on luxuries. They stayed at the Six Sense Ibiza, in Cala Xarraca, known for its rates, which exceed 2,000 euros per night. Considered one of the best 50 hotels in the world.

Now we'll have to wait and see if the shooting of the video is a headache for her… The singer has just begun a new musical phase thanks to the release of her new studio album, 143, from which she presented two singles before its release: Women's world and the aforementioned Lifetimes.
