Kanye West’s Super Bowl commercial is brilliant

Kanye West purchased advertising space during Super Bowl LVIII to promote his brand, Yeezy.

The half-minute spot appears to have been shot on West’s cell phone while he was in a car.

“Hi everyone, this is Ye, and this is my commercial,” he said. “And since we spent all the money on the commercial, we actually didn’t spend any money on the actual commercial. But the idea is, I want you to go to yeezy.com.”

In the video Ye invites everyone to go to the Yeezy website and buy his new Yzy pods, which have gone from 200 dollars to 20.

However, not all Super Bowl viewers saw Ye’s commercial because it wasn’t broadcast everywhere. In fact, it seems that it aired in Miami, but not in Los Angeles.

This suggests that West purchased the space on a regional basis and therefore did not spend the $7 million required for 30 seconds of national advertising.

However, the video is making the rounds on the web and Ye probably got what he wanted: to have the video made and talked about.
