Creative roles, love and new goals for the San Diego project.

Thee Sacred Souls has had an extraordinary year, establishing itself as one of the most promising projects in current soul. With performances in various venues around the world, acoustic sessions on the most influential broadcast channels and a new album that expands the horizons of their sound proposal, the band has shown that their talent and work have no limits.

In addition, his music has reached new heights thanks to the viralization of several songs that skyrocketed his numbers on streaming platforms. streaming. All of this occurred while they continued touring international venues, facing the challenge of balancing the demands of an agenda full of shows with the creation of an album that preserved the essence that led them to success.

We had the opportunity to talk with Salvador Samano, Alex GarcĂa and Josh Lane about his most recent material, Got a Story to Tell (2024), and the learnings that the growth of the project has brought them during the last year.

Working on an album while on tour is no easy task. Touring demands impeccable logistics, where every minute counts, and finding space for inspiration can seem almost impossible. However, in those small free moments ideas arose that led to exploring new styles and enriching their proposal.

I think we all start writing from different points. I watched as Alex locked himself in to try out melodies and give titles to some notes. For my part, I was very focused on the tour and doing my best on stage, but there were moments when I was able to focus on writing. “Everything started to take shape when the three of us put our ideas on a whiteboard and saw that we were aligned in the same direction,” Josh explained.

From the first chords of the album, Got a Story to Tell it surrounds us in a sophisticated atmosphere; reflects the emotionality, passion and romanticism characteristic of Thee Sacred Souls. The band's ability to explore the concept of love from different perspectives excites and connects with their fans around the world.

“Writing about love gives you a universe to explore. In my case, I feel more comfortable writing from a distance. “I'm not in a place where I'm going to fall in love, but I like to take a step back, observe everything from a broader perspective, relive the emotions that have marked me and put them on paper,” he said. Josh.

Love is something different for each person, but for me it is like feeling a hug. If our music can convey that feeling of comfort and warmth, then we have accomplished our mission,” said Alex.

One of the highlights of this new material is the incorporation of fresh elements that add depth and new textures to his music. The band has enriched its sound without losing its essence, achieving a balance between classic and contemporary. In this process, they had the collaboration of the producer Gabe Rothwho, thanks to his experience in soul projects, contributed to enhancing the group's artistic vision.

“Having someone like Gabe It gives you a lot of peace of mind as a composer. “His support was key to finding the right tempo in some songs, but on this occasion he also gave us great creative freedom,” he said. Alex.

“He's a good listener. There were days when everything felt slow in the studio, but he would reassure us by saying, 'Don't worry about the production, I'll make everything sound amazing,' and he did it,” he said. Salt.

With this new album, Thee Sacred Souls Not only does it reinforce its essence, but it also connects with an increasingly broad audience, eager to enjoy melodies that resonate in the depths of love and desire.

“Reaching so many people is something that deeply fulfills us. During the tours there was hardly time to reflect on everything that was happening, but each experience marks us, especially when getting to know new cultures and seeing how the public connects with our music in each presentation,” he expressed. Josh.

One of the most memorable moments of the year for the band was their performance at the Crown Capital 2024. The response of the Mexican public reaffirmed the special bond they have with our country.

Mexico is very special for us. Seeing how our audience grew there was incredible. I remember that in our first showin it Indie Rocks Forum!the audience was wonderful. Now to see it threefold on a bigger stage is a really cool thing, and we feel blessed by that,” Josh concluded.

Thee Sacred Souls continues to build its story based on passion, constant work and a unique connection with its audience. Got a Story to Tell (2024) is much more than an album; It is a manifesto of growth, love and creativity. Every step they take reaffirms their desire to take their music to new horizons.

If one thing is clear, it is that this band not only has a story to tell, but many more to write with its growing community of fans around the world.
