Inspiration is something or someone that is always trying to escape from here to there. The best thing to do is pretend that it is always there.

Change comes through many avenues, the only certainty is its existence, when least expected, nothing is the same as it used to be. Sometimes this transition can be so subtle that it happens in the blink of an eye, when in reality years have passed.

Liam O'Neill, The band's drummer, was able to see this change with the arrival of their new album The Breaks In addition to the tour with this new album; passing through Mexico as part of the festival Hypnosis.

“If something feels exciting, we’ll do it,” O’Neill says. “We’ve got a really good idea now, it’s going to sound good, we hope.”

There used to be a rule that if you can't play it live, you can't recreate it in the studio. On this new tour, that rule can no longer be followed. “It's exciting and also a little bit stressful, we don't think about that when we record, sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's frustrating (…) when we're in Mexico we'll know.”

We are always impressed that people want to see us (…) for me that is more than enough,” says O'Neill calmly.

The Breaks has an estimated release date in September. One of the singles already available is “Doreen”. O'Neill He reflects on this topic saying, “It’s about waiting for inspiration, rather capturing that moment of inspiration. As individuals we are at an age where we have to find new ways to adapt (…) you have to pretend to be inspired until you actually are.”

The group can only survive if they do it together, and with the passage of time one thing remains the same: having fun, being able to metabolize everything that has happened to them in life while they were apart to come together to make the album. “We have a team spirit (…) it's more fun if we're all together to be able to deliver the work,” he mentions.
