In 2022, Andy Shauf visited Mexico for the first time as part of one of the largest editions of the Crown Capital and that he remembers as a great experience in which there were big stages and a sea of people everywhere you looked.

However, in the Pitchfork Festival promises to be different, because with its presence different landscapes will be painted in Room (A) of the Indie Rocks Forum!

I don’t know the venue where I’m going to play, I think it’s like a club or a bar, I think it will be fun. “People like to enjoy music in different ways and in different contexts.”

At the moment, Shauf be found of tour in different countries around the world continuing to promote his album, Norm. A conceptual work that fans fell in love with because of its warmth and now it’s time to bring it to reality with its Show In solitary; a challenge that might seem difficult, but Andy has everything under control.

“This time it will be me and my guitar, so it will be a different experience because my albums develop in an orchestrated way. When you take songs out of their context, they can be a little shaky, but I like to keep their natural structure. Whether people like it or not depends on their hearing. The most dangerous thing about all this is that people can get bored of live music, they would miss that special moment, but I want to make it unique.”

In recent years, we have experienced the growing offer of both concerts and festivals, having a full agenda every weekend in which young and old venues They open their doors to music lovers.

“We are still in the post-Covid era, everyone is trying to do concerts as much as possible. I have done it quite a bit and I think the effects are beginning to be felt, but it is also a matter of creating a balance.”

As well as the tours and concerts don’t stop, life leads Andy through new places to get inspired and work on a new project. “I’m working on new music and there’s a song I might play or not, it depends on how comfortable I feel at the time.”
