SIMPLE PLAN will enrich the pop punk evening on Tuesday 9 July which will also see the shows of SUM 41 and AVRIL LAVIGNE on the stage of the I-Days 2024 in Milan at the Ippodromo Snai.
From their millennium rise to MTV fame to the modern resurgence of pop-punk, SIMPLE PLAN have been an indelible part of pop culture since their formation in Montreal in 1999. They have sold 10 million albums worldwide. world, have won multiple Juno Awards, performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics, and last year launched the ubiquitous #ImJustAKid challenge on TikTok that has generated more than 3.4 million videos, including those by Hilary Duff, Ed Sheeran, Usher and Venus and Serena Williams.
SUM 41’s live show will be the last chance for fans to see the Canadian band on stage who announced their dissolution last May but not before the release of the double album “Heaven :x: Hell” – anticipated in September by the single ” Landmines” – and of the “When The Sum Sets Tour” which will see them protagonists on the most important stages around the world including that of the I-Days Milan 2024.
Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin, Tom Thacker, Frank Zummo will thus say goodbye to the fans who have been by their side during a 27-year career studded with successes that took them to the pinnacle of pop punk such as “Fat Lip”, “In Too Deep”, “Still Waiting”, “The Hell Song”, over 15 million records sold worldwide, multiple placements in the Billboard charts and nominations for the Grammy Awards.
The queen of pop punk AVRIL LAVIGNE will also take the stage at the Snai La Maura Hippodrome with a concert that will be a real journey through over 20 years of music that has gradually captured new fans starting from hits like “Complicated”, “Sk8er Boi” and “I’m With You” (included in the debut album “Let Go” which took her to the Olympus of music in 2002) passing through “My Happy Ending” (part of “The Best Damn Thing ” album from 2004 which debuted at number one on the album charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom), “Girlfriend” (single which reached number one on the Billboard singles chart and part of “The Best Damn Thing”, third album by the Canadian artist who debuted at number one on the Billboard charts), “What The Hell” and “Here’s to Never Growing Up”.
