Music news

“The courage of children” by Geolier among the albums, Ash by Lazza among the singles and “The Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd. These are the number one in the 2023 Top of The Music FIMI/GFK 2023 rankings.

A top ten albums all male and all Italian.
To find a woman in the album chart you have to go to number twenty with Okay. Breathe by Elodie.

Only at number twenty-two does the first international album appear, that is Utopia by Travis Scott.

Between individuals instead two women appear: at six Anna with Black glasses and at seven Annalisa with My love.
Here too the ranking speaks Italian and certainly speaks of Sanremo, with the three first place songs coming from Sanremo 2023.

The first international success is at number nine with Quevedo: BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 52 by Bizzarrap & Quevedo

Only among vinyls is there international music with the evergreen “The Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd, followed by “Cvlt” by Salmo & Noyz Narcos and “X2VR” by Sfera Ebbasta.

The balance of 2023 is extremely positive for Italian music, which covers 80% of the album chart: a figure that only ten years ago, in 2013, stopped at 63%. It is a considerable result in the context of an industry strongly subject to technological revolutions but which always places human creativity at the centre”, commented Enzo Mazza, CEO of FIMI, the Italian Music Industry Federation.
