Since their last visit to France in 2019, the American alternative rock group has released a studio album, No Gods No Mastersin 2021. ““No Masters or Gods To Obey” is indeed a slogan from the 70s, the period when I grew up. Nothing sarcastic about it” explains Shirley Manson, singer of the group, in an interview with the editorial staff. “We were all born on the same planet, and all are equal, a Kim Kardashian or a Republican senator are not more important than the others. I have never been intimidated by someone because they were famous or rich. What matters is being a decent and respectful person, period. It’s a philosophy that has always accompanied me, since my childhood in Scotland where everyone doesn’t care about the star system. »
Garbage later released a two-disc anthology, which summarizes almost 30 years of career. This year, they are preparing to re-release their fourth album, Bleed Like Me. It will be available in an expanded edition and for the first time on vinyl on April 5.
The group has not specified whether this disc will be particularly highlighted during its next tour.
