Federica Abbate the new single “Tilt”, a hymn to inner freedom

Music news

Comes out on Friday 18 April Tilt, Federica Abbate's new single.

With this song, the artist opens a new chapter of his journey, finally putting his voice and his vision in the center, after years spent writing for the greatest names of the Italian music scene.

Tilt is a song that I wrote for me. Going to Tilt for me means being alive and never forcing us to remain trapped in a form or in something that goes out and prevents us from feeling free – declares the artist – the secret of happiness is freedom, and the secret of freedom lies in the courage to break the patterns, to send everything into tilt, even at the cost of crossing the “pain”, which is sometimes a necessary condition to heal. “

“Tilt” is a hymn to inner freedom, inspired by the figurative meaning of the expression “go by tilt”. A condition of mental confusion, a sudden failure like that of an interrupted circuit, which in the song becomes a symbol of liberation. Federica Abbate explores the concept of not being trapped in situations that no longer belong to us, but that, for fear of change, we continue to support. The “tilt” is therefore an act of awakening, an emotional discharge that reconnects the artist to his essence, where a new possibility of rebirth can arise in chaos.

The cover

Federica-Barbate-Tilt-2025.

The cover of the individual reflects the artistic universe of Federica, full of symbols: the eye of a pigeon, a symbol of volatility and resilience, the traffic light, the tree and the flower that recall the dichotomy between the city and the countryside – the two conflicting but complementary souls of the world of Federica, between the frenzy of Milan and the most intimate refuge of the campaign. At the center of everything, the piano, an instrument that has always accompanied it and that remains a key element of its musical expression.
