How do you vote and who awards the Grammy Awards?

As we have already mentioned in the first lines, the entity in charge of organizing the Grammy Awards is the United States National Recording Academy of Arts and Sciencesan organization founded in 1957 that represents vocalists, songwriters, producers and other professionals linked to the music industry and whose purpose is to ensure that the recording arts continue to reap fruits and contribute to the cultural heritage of the United States and the rest of the world .

This organization chooses the different winners of these awards and who establish the categories that are contested each year. However, All those artists who want to be nominated must take the initiative and register; Otherwise, they cannot be proposed as candidates to win the golden gramophone.

When the registration period closes, More than 350 experts in different musical areas review the songs and recordings to verify that they meet the requirements established to compete in each of the categories. After this first screening, The Recording Academy vote in each of their areas of expertise. From here, the five nominees from each category come out. Then there is a second round of voting (focused on measuring their musical quality), which resolves who the clear winners are (artists and recording works) of the Grammy Awards annually.
