Everything we know about Estopía by Estopa: track list, cover, release date…

Music news

Estopía, the new Estopa album with which the Muñoz family celebrate the 25th anniversary of their career, has entered the countdown. Next March 15, the new musical adventure of those from Cornellá de Llobregat will be released. The album, composed of twelve unreleased songs of which we already know all the titles.

This new album is a return to the origins of the band that conquered our country a quarter of a century ago. A sound that carries rumba as its flag, but that also plays with other genres, such as rock, rap or ranchera. All this with poetic, direct, authentic and signature lyrics.

Estopía invites us to travel to the universe of Estopa, who celebrates his 25 years of career with an album that collects the iconography of all his imagination, created during all these years. Proof of this is the cover of this new album whose presentation has not been without controversy. Because the rumor that it had been created by AI spread like wildfire for a job that is precisely called Estop-IA.

In the image, which according to the Sony Music press release was created by David Salvador, we can see a clear tribute to Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights. In the same way that Hieronymus Hieronymus captured his work, the art of this album is created as a triptych.

In it, Estopa presents his own interpretation of the destiny of humanity, with sin as a link between the different scenes. In the work we can see, from heaven to hell, multiple pictorial representations that symbolize the DNA of the band. The chaos of that universe that has always accompanied Estopa, composed of its multiple iconic elements.

Estopa are probably the two Catalan musicians who have made us enjoy the most with their songs over the last 25 years. Those from Cornellá de Llobregat continue to polish all the details of a 2024 that has many commitments for them live and direct. In addition to the two large stadiums that have sold out, the countless previous concerts of his 25th anniversary tour and the shows in America are preparing for a presentation of this Estopía as it deserves.

It will be next March 12 through Amazon Music’s Twitch and with Nil Ojeda and Masi as presenters. The duo has not confirmed what will happen at that event or if some of the 12 songs that are part of the album will be presented or premiered. So far we have already been able to listen to and enjoy El día que tú te marches, La rumba del Pescaílla and La ranchera without ruling out that we will have a new single for the release next Friday, March 15.
