Eurovision 2025: Helena would like to see this singer she loves represent France

Music news

Some expected Helena to participate in the 2025 edition of Eurovision. But the former “Star Academy” candidate has other artist names in mind.

Who will succeed Slimane to represent France at Eurovision? This is the question that everyone is asking, as the annual musical event takes place in May 2025. The flag bearers from several countries will meet this time in Basel, Switzerland, following the Nemo's victory last year.

Several names of artists who could participate in the competition under the French flag have already circulated, including that of the singer Helena. But the “Summer Body” singer put an end to her fans' hopes, declaring that she was not yet ready to commit to Eurovision. “It is important that I make my way as an artist before representing a country at Eurovision, she told the Belgian magazine Ciné-Télé-Revue. It's very gratifying that people think of me, but it's not the right time.

At the time of the European competition, Helena will also be in the middle of a tour. The young singer will travel through France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Most of its dates are already sold out.

The semi-finalist of the previous edition of the “Star Academy”, however, revealed the name of another singer that she would like to see represent France at Eurovision 2025. It is Lenie, her former friend from the castle from Dammarie-les-Lys. “I could see Lenie participating in a competition of this magnitude, even if I don't want to speak for her!“, she said. An idea that would certainly please fans of “Star Academy”. It remains to be seen what the main interested party says about it.
