Estopa's funny speech when collecting his “Pureta” award at Ondas 2024: “Together we are indestructible”

Music news

Estopa has inaugurated this week a new sporting discipline that we have decided to name “prize lifting”. And, after winning, on November 8, as the group with the Best Tour of the year in the Spain category of the WECB Music Awards Santander 2024, the duo collected yesterday—in less than seven days—the musical award in honor of its 25 years of Career in the Ondas Awards.

Upon taking the stage, the Muñoz brothers gave a fun and exciting speech, where they especially remembered their family and Los Chichos, with whom they shared the category. “We are increasingly excited to receive awards. It's been 25 years since we won the Grupo RevelaciĂłn award and receiving this, together with Los Chichos, ex aequo, makes it really special.”expressed Jose.

“So, thank you very much… to The Academy,” added David, who sparked the first bursts of laughter from those attending the Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. “To our family, which is the same,” Jose said again, “to our father and our father.” “To my wife,” “and mine too… That's not the same one,” he anticipated, causing even his brother to laugh (“Can you imagine?” he asked).

Next, the eldest Estopa took the opportunity to dedicate the Ondas to his son David: “if you weren't there, this award would have no meaning.” “We are very excited to have received the Revelation award in 2000 and, in 2024, the Pureta award, to be honest. I feel older, but this is not over. My brother and I are never going to separate until we die,” he concluded.

“Together we are indestructible”JosĂ© concluded. So Estopa remains for a while. Here's to another 25 years!
