A song that fuses funk with elements of sixties Latin ballads.

The band originally from Los Angeles, Chicano Batmanhas released his latest single titled “It was spring“, as a preview of his next album, Notebook Fantasywhich will be available starting March 29 through ATO Records.

It was spring” is a song that fuses funk with retro elements, impregnated with an atmosphere of symphonic love and touches in the style of Latin ballads from the 60s. The vocalist and lyricist, Bardhas expressed that the song is inspired by memories of love and the music he listened to during his childhood, adding a touch of nostalgia to the composition.

I wrote that song thinking about a past relationship and all those romantic ballads I listened to when I was little because of my parents. “It’s the music we all loved together and I still feel very emotionally connected to it now.”

Notebook Fantasy It will be an album in which Chicano Batman Explore new musical horizons. Produced by John Congleton and recorded in the historic Sunset Sound, the album abandons the more subtle sensibilities of previous works to adopt a bold and eclectic sonic approach.
