ELIO AND THE TESE STORIES on Italian stages “I only have one tooth left and I’m trying to screw it back in” (Info and tickets)

Music news

ELIO E LE STORIE TESE bring the show “I only have one tooth left and I’m trying to screw it back” back onto Italian stages, ua crazy and reasoned x-ray of our local Terra dei Cachi 2023.

Dear friends,

we announce an incredible news: in the summer revival of the show “I Only Have One Tooth Left And I’m Trying To ‘Screw It Back’”, the drummer will not be Christian Meyer!! When questioned about the reasons for his defection, Meyer declared: «Elio and Le Storie Tese are the most important experience of my life, tender and affectionate memories bind me to the group, I would give my life for every single member of the band, but I am unable to participate in this exciting new adventure. My well-known passion for pine nuts has in fact led me to excessive consumption of non-Italian pine nuts, now widespread in our country, consumption which can cause unpredictable and unwanted effects, as happened to me. These effects will prevent me from participating in the summer show of Elio e Le Storie Tese but I will be ready to return to the saddle after following a balanced diet based on honey, cocoa beans and prickly pears.”

The rest of us from Elio e le Storie Tese will respect a period of radio silence, which somewhat characterizes our career given that the radios almost never play our songs, at the end of which we will communicate to you the even more incredible news that we cannot communicate to you now precisely because of the radio silence: who will play in Christian Meyer’s place!!

Best regards

I Radio Silence

THE TOUR

“I only have one tooth left and I’m trying to screw it back in” is a show between the sacred and the profane, which opens like a secular mass, in which various current affairs figures are invited to pray for EelST fans, and which ends with the certification that everything was played live «Without backing tracks, without sampling, without autotune, in short without shit, all done at home».

Elio e le Storie Tese, dressed in white, on a scenography studied in detail, with the precious direction of Giorgio Gallione, know how to tell our time in an ironic and fascinating way. From “La terra dei cachi” to “Supergiovane”, from “Servi della gleba” to “Transgenic Waltz” the ensemble’s repertoire is always current, because ultimately the Italian mentality never changes, there is always a good reason to be scandalized .

The show combines original stories and images of limitless creativity with music, for a journey through the contradictions of our country conducted with unparalleled mastery and humor by Elio e le Storie Tese.
