Q: You just launched is it seriously? A pop ballad on leaving behind a relationship with a toxic person, how did this song arise?

This song is very special to me. We write it thinking at that time when you know you are not in the right place or with the right person. It is a very heavy sensation. But we wanted to put like that time to empower and cry dancing. From “ok, I'm having a heavy, but it's going to get ahead.” This is how I felt it.

Q: Is the continuation of how it happened?

Well, every song we wanted to have a conductive thread, that they all connect. Each story has something to do with the previous one. That it is true that all are my stories. It is like a continuation.

Q: Will they be part of an album?

Well, more music comes. I still don't know if it will be an album for this year, but I can say that more music will come. Obviously if our first album is done this year, it will be incredible.

Q: Is there some pressure to get the disc?

I think there are always those nerves of seeing what to do. But I think that with the album it will be the right time, with the right songs to be able to give my best and the songs.

Q: Is there more pressure to be the winner of the best new artist in the Latin Grammy or for the numbers of how it happened?

I think the pressure will always exist. It would be very liar if I didn't say it. I am a virgo, I am a perfectionist to die and the competition is with the same, to overcome myself. It has been a very Bacano year to find me as an artist and as a person. Nothing will overcome how it happened because it was the song that has opened so many doors.

Q: He also opened the doors of collaborating with Joe Jonas and you have sung live twice with him. How was it?

Well, I still don't believe it. It is like a very beautiful feeling. Now, when I saw him in Orlando, it was the first time I saw him live and I could sing his songs. When I was little I had a shirt with the face of the Jonas Brothers. I am very fan and be able to share with him stage is a gift to my inner girl. It was very Bacano and cried for everything. I didn't believe I was singing with him.

Q: Was your preferred jonas?

I have to say yes, because Chiquita sang all the time this is me. Although I have to admit that I love Nick's songs too.

Q: Have you been able to meet Nick and Kevin?

No, I have not had the opportunity. I could meet Franklin, who is the little one. In fact, we have the same age. And they were singing one of the songs. It was very fun.

Q: A few months ago you mentioned Aitana, that you would like to collaborate with her. She has also said that she likes your music, have you agreed in Miami?

Well, we could see each other. Aitana is really a person I super admire, I love her very much and is a super talented person. And an incredible human being. Know her and be able to see her closely at work, which I have always been super fan, because in Colombia we listened to her a lot, then she filled me with joy. But there I leave it.

Q: There are compatriots of yours as Karol G and Shakira that have reached the top, what does what they have done mean?

Well, it means everything. They are opening the way. In my case it helped me see that this dream was possible. I always talked like that it could happen and it was thanks to these artists so empowered. That have challenged themselves to these sites. In my case, in addition, being Colombian. It is very inspiring. I love Karol with all my heart. It is the example of resilience, love and discipline. It inspired me a lot. They mean everything.

Q: Do you know any of them?

I have been able to meet Karol. She is very special to me. It was the first artist who opened the doors. I opened her concert in Bogotá, which is my city and she told me that she was for what she needs. In fact, I will not forget the face I put when I received Latin Grammy. And the first person I saw down the stairs went to her. I was excited, as if it had happened to her. As if she had literally won the prize. And those things never forget. And less in such a complicated industry.

Karol G and Shakira helped me see that this dream was possible

Q: When do you come to Spain?

Well I hope to go very soon. I really want. But this year we will go even if it is a couple of times to sing there.
