'Edge of Saturday Night': Kylie Minogue and The Blessed Madonna take us to the edge of a Saturday night

Music news

We start the week wishing it was Saturday again and, perhaps, that has been the mantra that Kylie Minogue and The Blessed Madonna have based on to launch Edge of Saturday Nighta collaboration that transports us to an eternal weekend day after day and in any context.

Along with the song, the soloist and DJ have starred in a very festive music video, where their sunglasses – essential at any good rave -, the glitter and the disco ball are not missing, andinvite you to satisfy that desire to dance until dawn that we crave especially during the summer months, a season marked by music festivals and village parties.

“This song and video are driven by the incredible energy of some of the most powerful women we know, including our wonderful director: Sophie Muller! We are so excited to share it with you and hope it resonates with you wherever you are or whatever boundaries you find yourself in. Miracles are real and this one is for you. We promise,” the two exclaimed in a post shared on Instagram.

And it is that, Edge of the nightthat's it: an escape route from any worry. You just have to let its rhythm pump your heart and flood every pore of your body. Go with the flow and let yourself go so that you can face what's bothering you with a different perspective, one that is calmer, more rational and optimistic.

A few days ago, in another publication and renamed as the duo The Blessed Minogue, they expressed the feeling they had after playing the song for the first time live. “There are moments when you feel a new energy coming on: when you are on the verge of something wonderful. We both felt that last night. Ireland, you were the perfect place to share for the first time live.” Edge of Saturday Night. Having Raye co-write the track was like coming full circle. Thank you for joining us.”
