Ed Sheeran writes an open letter to the British Prime Minister

Ed Sheeran and many famous signatories urged the British government to finance music for “ repair decades of dismantling ยป.

Ed Sheeran asked the British government to ensure long -term funding for musical education in an open letter supported by Harry Styles, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, Coldplay and many others.

The letter (which can be read on the Instagram account of Sheeran) was sent to Prime Minister Keir Starmer and to representatives of the British government. She asks them to hire 250 million pounds sterling (around 300 million euros) for “ repair decades of dismantling music ยป. The letter notes that the music industry brings 7.6 billion pounds to the British economy each year, ” But the next generation is not there to take the reins ยป.
