ED SHEERAN among the albums and GRACIE ABRAMS among the singles the first #1 in the UK charts of 2025

Music news

Ed Sheeran is off to a great start to 2025, securing his eighth number one album in the UK charts with + – = ÷ × (Tour Collection).

The album, already in its fourteenth week in the charts after its debut in October 2024, finally reached the top thanks to the success of an exclusive vinyl variant released by Blood Records.

The Tour Collection is a celebration of Ed Sheeran's musical journey, featuring hit songs and live recordings from his six previous chart-topping albums: + (2011), X (2014), ÷ (2017), No .6 Collaborations Project (2019), = (2021) and – (2023). A collection that summarizes over a decade of successes and emotions shared with millions of fans.

In the other positions of the Top 5, everything remains unchanged:

Sabrina Carpenter with Short N' Sweet in second place SZA with SOS to the third Chappell Roan with The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess to the fourth Charli XCX with BRAT to the fifth.

SINGLES

Gracie Abrams inaugurates 2025 with a great success: his song That's So True returns to the top of the Official Singles Chart, confirming itself as the first number 1 single of the new year. The song, which had already dominated the chart for five consecutive weeks in 2024, now adds a sixth non-consecutive week to its reign.

The song APT., signed by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, returns to its peak of No. 2. The song, which made history in 2024 as the first by a female K-pop soloist to enter the UK Top 10, now celebrates 10 weeks in the Top 10, confirming its status as global hit.

VINYLS

+ – = ÷ × (Tour Collection) also took Ed Sheeran to first place in the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and in the Official Record Store Chart, positioning itself as the most purchased album in independent stores in the United Kingdom.
