Dua Lipa: the key to her new album?

Music news

Dua Lipa is preparing to celebrate her big comeback in music, a few months after her participation in the soundtrack of the film “Barbie”.

She enjoyed new global success this summer with “Dance The Night”. Building on this, Dua Lipa is preparing to release new songs. At least, that’s what she teases on her social networks. The media NME explain that ” The artist shared a video of herself with a key in her mouth, while what appears to be a snippet of a new song plays in the background ». In the caption, the 28-year-old singer writes: “ I’m not here for very long », an enigmatic sentence which seems to refer to her post of October 27 which she has since deleted. For those who haven’t seen it, she wrote: ” Catch me before I leave “.

For the moment, the young woman has not given more information regarding her mysterious posts. But the question arises: do these videos announce the arrival of a third album? At least that’s what everyone wants. As a reminder, she was a hit in 2020 with the very disco “Future Nostalgia”. Furthermore, last March, Elton John, with whom she collaborates, was convinced that the album was 50% finished and last July, it was Mark Ronson who made new revelations. “ I’ve heard a few snippets of it and it’s incredible. It feels like this is the triumph of her music over this era and her launching into what she will do next », Confided the British producer to the magazine Vulture.

During an interview given to New York TimesDua Lipa had indicated that she wanted to release her album in 2024 which will be “ sonically different of what has been done before with more lyrical themes ». We will therefore have to wait a little longer before discovering what these mysterious posts hide.
