Members of Poison, Ratt and Dokken relive the heyday of glam metal in “ Nöthin' But a Good Time: The Uncensored Story of '80s Hair Metal “.

No one on the planet doubts that Bret Michaels and Poison had a blast in the 1980s, but in the trailer for a new documentary series that combs through glam metal's decade of decadence, he's the first to tell you: ” In the 1980s it was an exciting time for music, it was incredible “His enthusiasm shines through in the trailer for the three-part series, Nöthin' but a Good Time: The Uncensored Story of '80s Hair Metalwhich will premiere on Paramount+ on September 17.

Michaels, Don Dokken, Tracii Guns, and members of WASP, Vixen, Kix, and Quiet Riot all discuss the highs and lows of glam metal. Other interviewees include Ratt's Stephen Pearcy, Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt, Skid Row's Dave “Snake” Sabo, Headbangers Ball host Riki Rachtman, Slipknot's Corey Taylor, and Jackass' Steve-O.

The documentary comes three years after the book's release Nöthin' But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the '80s Hard Rock Explosion music journalists (and collaborators of WECB) Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock. This oral history was a bestseller in New York Times and was featured on the list of best music books of 2021 established by WECB. WECB also released an excerpt from the book about the formation of Guns N' Roses, featuring interviews with the founding members. Beaujour and Bienstock are co-executive producers of the documentary series.
