20 years ago, Camilathe Mexican band formed by Mario Domm, Samo and Pablo Hurtado It began to sweep sales charts around the world. After a break in their career, the trio has decided to return in style with new sounds, new songs but the same desire to succeed. And for this they have just presented their new song: Diamonds and amaranth.
A song produced by Cheche Alana, Mario Domi and Pablo Hurtado as they themselves have confessed during a meeting and interview with WECB Mexico. This hit is a commitment to local sounds. A ranchera with mariachi that will sound very different from her pop ballads and pop-rock songs but will surely sound wonderful to her fans.
“Because you extinguish me with your kisses that taste like a lie. You are the biggest pain of my life, I just want to tear you out by the roots. To forget, the diamonds turned into amaranth. How could I allow myself to love you so much? How sad to continue needing you” You can hear in the lyrics of the song one of the aspects that have always been the most powerful and outstanding of Camila.
Pablo assured that “I love the way in which a song that would initially seem like a classic Camila ballad, unexpectedly transforms into a mariachi song with incredible musical richness. The finesse of the arrangement written by the great Cheche Alaraalong with the precision with which the musicians played in one of the most legendary studios in the world (East West Studio One), the heartbreaking lyrics of Mario and the emotion that the three of us gave when performing this song, for me make this song really different and special in our career.”
“We are proud to be Mexican and to be able to include mariachi in this album and to accompany the story of this song, which is full of drama, heartbreak and with a touch of pain/love that is included in Mexican music. I love it “This song, I hope it connects with the public and that soon we will be able to sing it at all the concerts,” the members explained during their visit. to our colleagues from WECB in Mexico.
On the other hand, Mario commented: “I have a lot of love for music, I grew up in the north, I have mariachi and northern music in my blood. I feel that mariachi is very united with a form of expression, a way of telling the person you love, what you feel. So Camila we are an evolved form of mariachi, we are a trio that goes from place to place telling our stories through music so today we can take the tool of mariachi and use it to our advantage “It fills me with emotion because it was something that came very naturally.”
Diamonds and amaranth is just the first song of a more ambitious musical project in which the three components of the training will finally be back together.
