DE LA SOUL “Art Official Intelligence Radio” arrives on Apple Music 1

Music news

Art Official Intelligence Radio featuring De La Soul comes to Apple Music 1 this month for a special five-episode series.

Hosted by Posdnuos and Maseo, the five-episode show arrives just in time to celebrate the launch of the 35th anniversary deluxe edition of the hip-hop group’s first album, 3 Feet High and Rising, available in spatial audio with four bonus tracks unpublished.

Having this program means we can reach every listening ear to offer our ‘Art infused with Official Intelligence,’” Posdnuos said. “We were blessed to do this work from 1988 until 2024 and, hopefully to God, beyond!”

This show is an extension of a dream already realized,” Maseo said. “So from now on, everything is truly a blessing beyond our expectations.”

Throughout the series, Posdnuos, Maseo and special guests look back and reflect on De La Soul’s history, legacy and impact, while also honoring the memory of late bandmate Dave, aka Trugoy the Dove. Hear exclusive interviews from some of the biggest and most influential names in hip-hop (and culture) past and present, such as Tyler, The Creator, Common, Questlove of The Roots, Queen Latifah, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, DJ Prince Paul, Rhapsody and Dave Chappelle.

Each episode also includes a “DemoListen” segment where rarities, demos and special versions of De La Soul’s most iconic hits are shared with fans.

WHERE TO LISTEN TO IT

Starting March 5, new episodes of AOI Radio featuring De La Soul will air Tuesdays and Thursdays on Apple Music 1 at 8pm at apple.co/AOI-Radio.
