David Bowie: soon a street in his name in Paris

On January 8, a David Bowie street will be inaugurated in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, to correspond to the late musician’s birthday.

The town hall of the 13th arrondissement of Paris is preparing to inaugurate a street named after David Bowie. Located near 61 avenue Pierre-Mendès-France, this street will officially take the name of the music icon on January 8, corresponding to the date of his 77th birthday. Laurence Patrice, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of memory and the fighting world, and Jérôme Coumet, Mayor of the 13th arrondissement, will be responsible for the inauguration at 4 p.m.

2024 is also the year of the album’s 50th anniversary Diamond Dogs by David Bowie. We find in particular the standard “Rebel Rebel”.
