Boygenius headlined the Hollywood Bowl and invited Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl on stage to play drums on “ Satanist “. The group (Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker) were dressed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, while Grohl was dressed all in black and had his face painted.

Boygenius released his first album, The Record, at the beginning of the year.
