Daft Punk will bring 'Interstella 5555' to the big screen

The anime film brings together musicians from another galaxy.

The iconic French duo, daft punk revive your anime visual album, Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystemwhich will hit theaters around the world on December 12, 2024. Tickets will be available from November 13, but you must first register on the official site.

Directed by Leiji Matsumoto in collaboration with daft punk and Toei Animation, Interstella 5555 tells the kidnapping of an alien gang by a human villain, in a story full of science fiction and music. The film is essentially a visual album of the duo's second album, discoveryand will be screened in more than 800 cinemas in 40 countries.

For collectors, daft punk will release a limited physical edition of Discovery: Interstella 5555 Edition on December 13, which will include vinyl and numbered CDs, along with merchandising of animated characters. This release keeps fans' nostalgia alive, even though the duo broke up more than three years ago.
