Daddy Yankee quits music to “follow Jesus”

Daddy Yankee has said goodbye to music definitively and announced his retirement from the scene. The star made this decision because she wants to “follow Jesus” and dedicate herself to faith.

Daddy Yankee, who is undoubtedly one of the most important and influential figures in Latin American music and who helped bring reggaeton to the top, had already announced his intention to leave music. He did it in March, when he declared that his latest album, Legendaddy, released in March, would be his last, just as the tour of the album would be his last, but only in the last few hours did he reveal the reason. And he did it during his last concert, held at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico in recent days.
