CRISTIANO DE ANDRÉ: the live album “DEANDRÉ#DEANDRÉ Story of an employee” is released

Music news

After a tour throughout Italy and a documentary film presented at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, CRISTIANO DE ANDRÉ’s project dedicated to Faber’s concept album “Story of an employee” is enriched with a new unmissable piece: on December 15th, the live album “DEANDRÉ#DEANDRÉ Storia di un clerk” will be released on CD and digitally.

This new record release comes at the culmination of a long process of reinterpretation of the historic album, which thus returns to stir consciences on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its publication in 1973.

THE TRACKLIST

1. INTRODUCTION
2. SONG OF MAY
3. THE BOMB ON THE HEAD
4. AT THE MASKED BALL
5. DREAM NUMBER TWO
6. SONG OF THE FATHER
7. THE BOMBER
8. THEY WILL COME TO ASK YOU ABOUT OUR LOVE
9. IN MY HOUR OF FREEDOM

The nine tracks on the album are taken from the documentary film of the same name “DEANDRÉ#DEANDRÉ Storia di un Employee”, directed by Roberta Lena (distributed in theaters by Nexo Digital and currently available on the streaming platform nexoplus.it and on the Nexo TV channels “House of Docs” and “Le Vite degli altri”), which in turn told of Cristiano De André’s famous tour that began in 2018, a true rock opera that made thousands of people relive the concept album about the years of lead and on the hope of building a better world.

This unique tribute to Fabrizio De André is more than a simple revival of timeless songs. It is the profound and personal tribute of the only true heir of Deandre’s musical heritage. Arranging “Story of an employee” meant for Cristiano De André bringing back into vogue the children of the pacifist revolution: utopia, anarchy, the Dream, on the one hand, Power, fear, the sinking of individual qualities on the to the detriment of global needs, on the other.

The production and arrangements of the introductory musical sections of each track are by Cristiano De André and Stefano Melone.
