When a dog's relaxed attitude meets musical art and becomes a viral phenomenon.

During the last few weeks we have witnessed once again the virality of a meme, but not just any meme, but the meme of Chill Guy. This image features an anthropomorphic dog with a relaxed expression, dressed casually and with a carefree attitude. Created by illustrator Philip Banksthis character debuted on October 4 on X and, as happens with many viral memes, it quickly transcended, even reaching the world of music.

One of those most fascinated by this meme was the American graphic designer Earnest Parkknown for his works in the musical field, films, series and anime. park, decided to take the character and reimagine him on popular album covers. In his first series of designs he incorporated the character into contemporary album covers such as GNX of Kendrick Lamar, Chromakopia of Tyler, The Creator and Graduation of Kanye West. The designs became so viral – as expected – that Earnest Park released a second series, expanding its focus to records by iconic artists such as Michael Jackson, Mac Miller and Playboi Carti.

But it didn't end there: users who loved the world of classic records came out of the corners and created versions of legendary covers such as Stratosphere of Duster, Souvlaki of Slowdive, Demon Days of Gorillaz and In the Court of the Crimson King of King Crimsonall with the addition of Chill Guy.

What began as a simple expression of relaxation in a meme has transformed into a series of graphic reinterpretations shown through the eyes of a relaxed anthropomorphic dog, in its own world of carefree.
