Discover the official Top Rock & Metal album sales in France SNEP/SCPP/OCC for week 45 (from October 25 to November 1, 2024)

This week, The Cure and its masterful Songs of a Lost World remain in first place in the top sales charts, still followed by Indochine and its Babel Babel, which remains at the top of the ranking for several weeks. We are also seeing a strong comeback from Shaka Ponk, with his final album now in third position.

In 10th place, Matmatah makes a beautiful entrance with Bresthis new live album, which shows both the constant energy of the Bretons and the fervor of their fans. Primal Scream also enters the ranking, positioning itself in 16th place with Come Aheada record that represents a high-quality comeback, commented by Bobby Gillespie himself. Not far behind, the French progressive metal group Klone enters directly into 22nd position with The Unseenhis new fine and mastered album.

The French public's appetite for these musical aesthetics is not only found in the sales rankings, as noted by the general director of the SNEP, noting that “Hellfest is also the biggest festival in France. »

THE METHODOLOGY OF THIS OFFICIAL RANKING

Are eligible for Top Rock & Metal the albums of novelties (marketed for less than three years) rock directories and metal, informed as such by the distributor. This ranking holds sales account of supports as well that farms digital audio and video, according to defined parameters by profession and transcribed in thethe rules of the top developed by the SNEP. The stated aim is to “show the richness and diversity of musical successes that adopted these aesthetics,” explains Alexandre Lasch, general director of SNEP, to the editorial staff. A new classification which fits into a perspective already put in place by the organization: “We had already set up classifications with classical and jazz. We therefore wanted to show more of the successes of rock and metal in France. »
