Candice (“Star Academy”) bluffs with her first single “Fleurs fanées”

Music news

After Pierre, Julien, Axel and Helena, it's Candice's turn to unveil her first single entitled “Fleurs fanées”.

She didn't win Star Academy 2023, but she's on her way to realizing her dream of becoming a professional artist. Candice finally makes her honeyed voice heard by unveiling her first single, “Fleurs fanées”, this Friday, August 23. A significant date since today, the singer celebrates her 21st birthday.

The title, already available on listening platforms, was produced by Ny Kajy, who worked on Dadju and Tayc's album “Héritage”. The lyrics echo a romantic disappointment. “He didn't give me anything, not a bouquet of faded flowers / Dragged in the dust, I would have been happy with that / But I dreamed for a long time, that he would come back for me, in the meantime I sleep who will wake me up / Who would want to hear me, who would want to love me? It's getting long to wait I don't want to hope anymore “, she despairs on the chorus, accompanied by a saxophone and Tayc's backing vocals.

A successful first solo single

Candice's first song did not go unnoticed. She is truly the revelation of the year, this young woman deserves a great career”, “The most beautiful revenge is success, I always believed in you Candice, bravo”, “The best single of all the academics who have released a song in my eyes “, we can read in the comments on YouTube. Bet won!
