Cage the Elephant releases “Out loud” and announces album

Along with the release of “Out loud”, the band I also announce the album Neon Pill and a tour of North America.

Cage the Elephant presents his most recent single, “Out Loud“, as a preview of his upcoming 12-song album, Neon Pill, through RCA Records next May 17th. The release of this album will mark the end of a five-year hiatus since their last album, Social CuesGrammy winner.

The leader of the band, Matthew Shultzshare that “Out Loud” has a particularly deep meaning, inspired by the memory of his father, who was fundamental in his relationship with music. The song emerges as an expression of honor and an attempt at reconciliation with the personal challenges he faced at that time.

Maybe it’s so simple and honest because I didn’t know if it would see the light of day,” singer Matthew Shultz said in a statement. “’Out Loud’ is very connected to my father. My dad is the reason we discovered music in “First place. When he died, ‘Out Loud’ just came out of me. My efforts with the song were deeply rooted in honoring him, and I knew it meant a lot to (my brother) Brad, too.”

Along with the release of the single, Cage the Elephant has also announced an extensive North American tour, with more than 45 confirmed dates. This tour will include appearances at renowned festivals such as Bonnaroo and Hangout Music Festivalwith Young the Giant as a special guest on most dates.

Produced by John Hill, Neon Pillthe band’s sixth full-length album, was recorded in several studios, including Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and Electric Lady In New York. The planned release for May 17 comes after difficult personal experiences for the band members, including the loss of family and close friends, as well as battling depression and mental health issues.
