“BURT BACHARACH, A Life In Song” the tribute concert on Rai5

Burt Bacharach is among the greatest popular music composers of the 20th century. A character told in music by the documentary “Burt Bacharach, A Life In Song”, broadcast on Thursday 28 December on Rai 5.

Bacharach, born in 1928 and passed away in March this year at the age of 94 he is the protagonist of the documentary which presents a tribute concert from 2015, in which the new generation of English music performed some of his classics: Alfie Boe, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Shaun Escoffery, Rebecca Ferguson , Justin Hayward, Michael Kiwanuka, Laura Mvula, Joss Stone.

In the second part, Bacharach himself, accompanying himself on the piano, leads his band in the unforgettable “The Look Of Love”, “Arthur’s Theme (The Best That You Can Do)”, “What’s New Pussycat”, “April Fool”, “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head”, with a grand choral finale, “That’s What Friends Are For”.
