Bruce Springsteen explains why he won't stop touring

In the new trailer for the documentary “ Road Diary “, Bruce Springsteen talks about his career and preparations for the E Street Band world tour.

Bruce Springsteen shows fans behind the scenes in the new trailer for his upcoming documentary, Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

The film largely centers around Springsteen's latest world tour, which he decided to do during the Covid-19 pandemic. “ I made a promise that if we got through this, I would throw the biggest party possible.”Springsteen says in the clip, before discussing the preparations for the tour: “ There are two things I try to do in rehearsal: first, shake the band up and clear the cobwebs. And second, what will the pace of the show be? »

E Street drummer Max Weinberg adds: “ We wanted this concert to be a real rock concert. Everything is linked. »

In addition to going behind the scenes of the tour, the documentary also looks at Springsteen's life and career as an artist. “ I grew up with Bruce and he was the most introverted guy you'll ever meetremembers guitarist Steve Van Zandt. To go from this status to being the greatest artist in the world is incredible. »

So it’s no surprise to hear Springsteen, at the end of the clip, make the ultimate promise: “ I intend to continue until the wheels fall off, and for as long as the audience follows me. It's my job. »
