Britney Spears closes the door on a new album

Music news

The pop star has set the record straight regarding rumors surrounding the preparation of a new album.

Freed from her guardianship, returned to the forefront with her autobiography “The Woman in me”, Britney Spears has raised the expectations of her fans who hoped to see her release a 10th album soon. A hope maintained last June following a message posted on social networks by musician Caleb Stone, since deleted, which indicated that he had made “sounds for the new Britney Spears album…”. Since then, various media have announced his possible musical return.

This Wednesday, however, the pop star cut short the rumors saying on Instagram: “Just to be clear, most of the latest information about me is false. They keep saying I’m turning to random people to make a new album… I’m never coming back to the music industry!!! When I write, I write for fun or I write for others!!! »

Britney Spears: ‘I’ve written over 20 songs in the last two years’

Things therefore seem clear, a new album from the singer of “Toxic” is not for right away, if ever. However, Britney Spears has not turned her back on music as she has demonstrated in recent months with her successive collaborations, whether with Elton John for the title “Hold me closer” or more recently with Will.i.am on “Mind Your Business”.

But that’s not all, as the singer points out: “For those of you who have read my book, she continues in her message, there are many things you don’t know about me. I’ve written over 20 songs for other people in the last two years!!! » It remains to be found which ones for fans wanting to know everything about their idol.
