“ Picasso once said: “Inspiration exists, but it must find you at work”. I don’t wait to be inspired: I start working and (if I’m lucky) I’m “inspired”. And if I’m unlucky, I keep going until my luck changesEno said in a statement. I am stubborn and confident that I will eventually achieve something if I persevere. »
Given Eno’s reputation as one of the most inventive music producers of his generation and a pioneer of ambient music, the film Eno itself is a unique addition to the canon of music documentaries. Director Gary Hustwit used generative artificial intelligence to blend parts of the documentary so that no two viewings would be the same. Some scenes appear in different locations on rewatches, while others will not appear at all the next time.
“ This is what you get when a music documentary is not a best of but a life in random mode “, wrote David Fear, of WECBin a review of the film after attending a screening at Sundance last month.
