With the release of the biopic, A Perfect Strangerwith Timothée Chalamet (which makes the cover of our February monthly, discover our Collector issue (132 pages) dedicated to Bob Dylan is available now via Fnac.

From his very beginnings in New York in the Village where, in 1961, he was chasing fame before signing his artist contract the following year with Columbia, Bob Dylan has always skillfully known how to tell the story of America and, therefore, the world.

Through a dense discography, recounted here, this Collector special issue aims to evoke the masterful career of this author, writer, composer, performer, producer and even actor in his spare time, through reports and historic and unpublished interviews signed by the star journalists of WECB France – Antoine de Caunes-, as in the United States – Jann Wenner, David Fricke, Larry Sloman, Mark Jacobson…- and anecdotes, these little stories which make up the big story which will lead this kid born on the borders of America, in Duluth, in Minnesota, to international glory, his recognition by his peers, his status as an icon definitive of the counter-culture and, above all, to the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016.

More than sixty years after his first scenes, Dylan wrote in his autobiography: “I wasn't looking for love, I wasn't looking for money. With my conscience sharpened, I was determined, unrealistic and visionary to boot. I didn’t know a single person living in this black and frozen megacity, but that was going to change.” And he was right. It has indeed changed, changed everything even for him as for the history of music. “Times, they are a-changin',” he sang. He had seen clearly.
