Beyoncé delivered a spectacular performance during halftime of the NFL Christmas game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston. Several guests, including her daughter Blue Ivy, joined the star during the show.
Christmas Day NFL 2024 offered much more than a thrilling game. Broadcast live on Netflix, it was in a festive atmosphere that Beyoncé entered the stage on horseback, dressed in a white outfit decorated with feathers and a cowboy hat, embodying the theme of her latest album: “Cowboy Carter.” Streamed live on Netflix, the show marks its first-ever performance of this record-breaking album.
To definitively mark the event, a special guest appeared, almost stealing the show from Queen B: her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. For several years, we have known that for the Carters, it is above all a family affair. At just 12 years old, the little girl joined her mother on stage, performing a choreography to the album's title track “Texas Hold 'Em” with astonishing ease. In harmony with her mother, in both steps and style, it is in an outfit matching that of Beyoncé that Blue Ivy proves once again that she is following in the footsteps of the global icon. A moment which caused a real ovation from the spectators present, but also on social networks, with an avalanche of shares immortalizing the moment.
Special guests
During the show, the Texan star was also joined by two other distinguished guests who added an extra dimension to the event. Emerging rapper Shaboozey performed the song “Ya Ya” alongside the singer. The artist of “A Bar Song”, who won all the records this year, is notably present on the album “Cowboy Carter” with the title “Spaghetti”.
Another notable guest, singer Post Malone who wrote one of the flagship tracks of the year, “Fortnight”, for Taylor Swift's latest album. The singer for his part performed on the track “Blackbird” perfectly merging his voice with that of Queen B.
An unforgettable mother-daughter evening that clearly kept its promises, celebrating her family's Texan roots and country music.
