I think becoming a mother has also honored me. It has made me feel more vulnerable than ever. But I feel more human, more embodied. I can’t escape life doing things as beautiful as I did. But now there is a kind of beauty in my mortality,” Khan said in a press release.
The Dream of Delphi It is a concept album about motherhood through spiritual songs, full of love and folk; they make you fill your soul, told through a character called Motherwitch.
The album begins with a slow-building beauty that includes Mary Lattimore as co-author. This first premiere single has the same name as the album “The Dream Of Delphi under a harp construction playing in the background, the voice of Natasha It stands out with its high notes and the firmness of its voice.
This is the album manifesto. It’s like casting a spell. It is the incantation, the manifestation, the extraction of Delphi from the ether. This is me calling to his soul. It’s about ascending to the stars and descending to the underworld simultaneously, how deep celestial and guttural sounds can come together, how that reflects the journey I took,” Natasha says in an interview.
The song is accompanied by a video directed by the creative director and choreographer Alexandra Green and the director Freddie Leyden. This work will be part of a film project yet to be announced, but without a doubt the frames are made to be part of a great work.
