Baby Gang met 600 kids from a high school in Pesaro

Today, Monday 2 December, Baby Gang together with Don Claudio Burgio met 600 children from the schools of Pesaro, the majority coming from the Liceo Marconi, at the Congress Center of the Hotel Baia Flaminia, in collaboration with the #RESPONSIBILITY NETWORK which brings together all the High schools in the capital.

During the talk, Baby Gang talked about what led him to be the boy he is today, 23 years old, with still a lot to learn but a clear goal in mind: to speak to the new generations and beyond through his music.

«From an early age I knew that I would be different – said Baby Gang – I'm ashamed of some things I did in the past, there was no one to tell me what was right and what was wrong. Everything was a challenge for me, a challenge towards the adult world. Don Claudio instead gave me the opportunity to understand what I wanted to do and do it: music. He supported me.”

«When you have something, you don't notice how lucky you are – he added – When it's not there, you start to appreciate it. When I was little, I was 12 years old, I had nowhere to sleep. I slept during the day, for fear of falling asleep at night, when other children my age went to school. There have been many obstacles, the road is not always straight, I think each of you experiences this. Music made me realize that I have a voice, and I want to use this voice. And as much as I can, I want to help kids like me who have faced a difficult path, even when it seems like the world is falling on you. In recent months I have worked with many people who are supporting me, it is not easy to trust, I have spent more time in prison in my life than outside, in these years I have not understood anything. They put me in cells and told me I had to stay there, 24 hours a day, without knowing when I could get out. But life changes when you find your purpose. I think the results speak for themselves and that it's time to take to the field for my first concerts. I thank guys like you, who listen to my music and support me.”

The meeting with the high school kids took place on the eve of Baby Gang's first tour in Italian arenas.
