Avicii fans prepare a podcast to remember his figure, analyze his influence and continue his legacy

Music news

It has been more than 5 years since avicii He took his own life in Muscat (Oman), leaving the electronic music lovers who idolized his figure almost orphaned. And when we say almost, it is thanks to the push of his environment that during this half decade has vindicated the artist with tributes, exhibitions, compilations, concerts… and also thanks to his unconditional fans who do not forget him.

In fact, one of the most beautiful initiatives we have seen in this time will be a podcast created by fans and for fans. The creators are several members of the Avicii subreddit, a kind of interactive forum that has remained active over the years and will soon produce a podcast in which the DJ is remembered, his influence is analyzed, and his legacy is continued. ..

“As some of you may remember, some time ago there was an attempt to launch an r/avicii Podcast for this community. Due to scheduling commitments and implementation difficulties, it didn’t work out then, but the desire for a podcast remained. “After many months of planning and developing a concept, we are more than happy to announce that the first episode of our monthly podcast will be released soon” they explain.

This audio program that can be enjoyed whenever you want and at any time of the day will fully explore the biography of Tim Bergling, real name of the Swedish performer, his musical roots, his musical tastes, his career and, obviously, the importance of mental health.

To make it open, participatory and for Avicii’s followers to find relevant information about their idol on a monthly basis, the creators have asked for collaboration from anyone who wants to show songs dedicated to the DJ, mashups, remixes, etc…

“We want you to be a part of it. Are you a producer and would like to feature your songs or mashups on our podcast? Is there a story from your life where Tim’s music has helped you that you would like to share with us? Whatever whatever, everything is allowed!” they ask from the organization of the podcast.

I don’t know about you but we are already looking forward to enjoying it. Because it will be free, open to everyone and can be heard on Mixcloud.
