If fans are already invited to pre-save the disc on streaming platforms and to pre-order it on its official website, its contents still remain unknown. Its most attentive fans nevertheless believe that SZA, Doja Cat and Ice Spice will be the guests of this seventh album since statues which resemble the silhouettes of the three American stars are visible in the clip “Yes, And?”.

“Eternal Sunshine”, a name that was not chosen at random

It seems that Ariana Grande has chosen to call her latest opus “Eternal Sunshine”, in reference to one of her favorite films, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, starring her “first crush” Jim Carrey. The film was also a favorite of her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. In 2013, the latter declared on this subject: “ I like Jim Carrey when he’s serious. He tore this role up. Whenever I talk to a girl, I always tell her to watch Eternal Sunshine. »

“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” tells the story of a couple, Clementine and Joel, going through a painful breakup. Joel discovers that Clementine underwent a procedure to erase her memories of him, so he decides to do the same, only to finally realize his infinite love for his ex.

While waiting for the announcement of a tour to defend this new album, Ariana Grande will be starring in the film “Wicked”, a film adaptation of the musical of the same name, expected in theaters on November 17, 2024.
