Antonio Orozco’s joke after not winning a Latin Grammy Pablo Alborán: “Are we deaf?”

Music news

Neither active nor passive: Pablo Alborán continues to be one of the Spanish artists with more nominations for the Latin Grammy 2023 which, however, fails to win the award. This November 16, the 24th edition of the gramophones was celebrated and, for the first time, they left the United States to land in Seville. A night in which the man from Malaga was up for five nominations, but after putting the finishing touch to the ceremony, his score remained at zero.

Everything pointed to the fact that that Thursday, Alborán was finally going to end that curse. The Andalusian singer had everything to be recognized in one of the most important categories for which he was competing for the award. From the one that recognizes the best recording of the year to the one that dictates who has made the best pop vocal album of the year 2023, but as has already happened on other occasions, luck was not on his side.

“The red in the carnation symbolizes love, pride and admiration. This is how I feel today, full of love and support for the people who follow me and sell out my shows. Full of love for my family, my friends and my love own, proud to have been able to teach the members of the academy how to live here,” the artist wrote, downplaying the importance of the awards.

Antonio Orozco sends a message of support to Pablo Alborán

Just one day after the big night of the Latin Grammys, Antonio Orozco put the finishing touch to his tour in Seville. A quote that helped him show your support for Pablo Alborán before singing one of the songs that means the most to him and that just a few weeks ago he released a new version by the man from Malaga: Made of little pieces of you.

“I hope you hear me well and that no one gets upset or upset,” Orozco said before launching his message: “Best song of the year, Pablo Alborán. Best album of the year, Pablo Alborán. Best live performance of the year of the last 13, 14 or 15,000 years, Pablo Alborán. Heart of gold, soul of glass, the voice that no one has, Pablo Alborán. What is happening to all the people and ears of the Academy? Are we deaf?“he said lamentingly.

But the thing did not stop there and Antonio Orozco wanted to point out the last detail: “Best artist of the century, Pablo Alborán. And do you know why? Because without knowing it and without realizing it, even if it seems not, all of us who are here are Made from little pieces of him“, he concluded, giving way to this topic.

Some words that have reached Pablo Alborán and that he wanted to answer: “I love you. Having the affection of a composer as great as you and the support of the public, are awards that no one can match. Although the night was gray, I am made of little pieces of you,” he said about the video.
